SIG MCX SMG
The SIG MCX SMG can be carried by any certified Correctional Officer and above. Reach out to an ERT Training Officer once eligible to receive training, and certification.
H&K 416 Rifle
The H&K 416 Rifle can be carried by any certified Sergeant and above, or by ERT Personnel after 2 weeks of service in the Emergency response Team as Personnel. Reach out to an ERT Training Officer once eligible to receive training, and certification.
Beanbag Shotgun
The Beanbag Shotgun can be carried by a certified Senior Corrections Officer and above, or by ERT Personnel. Reach out to an ERT Training Officer once eligible to receive training, and certification.
Shield & Shotgun
The Shield and the Sentinel Shotgun can be carried by any certified Lieutenant, or by ERT Supervisors.
When carrying large, high-calibre weapons (SIG MCX or H&K 416), it is to be stored in your glovebox unless the transport is designated ‘high risk’ by the accompanying police officers. These weapons should only be used when facing similar large weapons, in order to match force (general rule of thumb is to only use it when you see police officers use it if you are unsure). This is all subject to change. It is your responsibility to check what you are authorized to use.
